Received an email regarding this earlier on today, and was planning on posting it at 5 o'clock.
Unfortunately, I ended up being out at that point, and only recently just back at my laptop. So here it is...
Better late than never, I suppose.
Anyway, I am really loving the look of this, and think it is a fantastic step forward for Ubisoft with the Assassin's Creed franchise. Not much is shown in the video (what with it being only a few minutes long), but what is shown, is a promising, exciting new variation of battle.
This is the first of the Assassin's Creed games to feature battling upon the seas, and I'm sure Ubisoft still have a few ideas up their sleeves for future usage of such a promising new feature.
In Assassin's Creed III, you play as the new character, Connor, and the game is set in America, during the Colonial period. The game has vastly grown since Assassin's Creed Revelations (which was only a year ago), although, in all fairness, has been in production since before then. New features are included in the game, such as changing weather (which also affects the waves, as seen in the video) aswell as changing seasons, and a variety of other alterations, such as new weapons, and a new land to explore and discover.
Overall, Assassin's Creed III is definitely a game I'm really looking forward to (which probably explains my four different edition preorders!), and watching videos such as this just makes me pine for it even more.
Assassin's Creed III comes out in the UK on October 31st this year, on Xbox 360 and PS3, and will come out a month later on the 23rd of November for PC. A release date for the Wii U version has yet to be revealed, but we'll hopefully have some news on that in the coming weeks.
