Black Milk Cyber Sale!

So last night marked the start of the Black Milk Cyber Sale (after it was delayed from the previous night due to technical difficulties), and wow was it stressful!

I got the piece I wanted thanks to my lovely friends giving me my Christmas present (BM vouchers) early!
So massive thanks to Erin & Lauren for that!

Come to me, my pretties!

Unfortunately due to having to save for Christmas (and buying Christmas presents), and not long after paying for an Xbox One and some games, I've not been able to go totally crazy with the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales this year, although I have seen a lot of really good ones.

What were your best sale pick ups? Did you brave it and actually go out for the sales (especially to all you Americans, since it seems you get the most action on Black Friday!)? Or did you just not bother this year?

I'm baaaaaack - AGAIN!

Hello guys and girls!
As per usual, massive, massive apologies for my absence of late.

First, it was my lack of money (therefore lack of new purchases) keeping me from posting much, and then I planned on posting again from last week, to coincide with the release of the Xbox One, and well... the release of the Xbox One got in the way!

But I'm back!

I will be posting a review, my first thoughts, etc on the Xbox One, and the few games I have for it so far (unfortunately only Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome and Killer Instinct).

After New Year, reviews and unboxings should come in thick and fast, as we have decided to make our collecting-scope much more targeted, therefore we will be spending less time trying to afford various editions, and more time cherishing and playing the ones we do have, and will get!

So yeah, I'm officially back, and I promise to bring you all lots of new content every week :)

Thanks for continuing to read my blog, and feel free to comment with any suggestions, ideas, things you'd like to see unboxed/reviewed next!

Oh, and the Saints Row IV GOTG CE Unboxing will be uploaded within the next few days. It's already recorded, I just need to finally upload it and edit it a little :)

What editions have you received lately?
Did you buy an Xbox One, or are you picking up a PS4 on Friday?
Let me know in the comments below!

8th November 2013

Hello again, guys!
As usual, apologies for my absence of late.

As you all (or most of you) know, I've had to severely cut back on collecting recently, so I've not really been in the mood to talk too much about editions as I don't want to influence myself to buy things I cannot afford!

However, I feel bad for neglecting this place, so I have come back!

I recorded my Saints Row IV Game of the Generation Edition unboxing about a week ago, so at some point today, I'll get it uploaded and put on here for you all :)

I plan on doing a few more unboxings soon, just to get me back into the way of posting nice new content for you guys, so you'll probably be seeing unboxings for GTA V CE, Arkham Origins CE, and possibly some other things too :)

I don't have many things left on order from now till the end of the year, due to a lack of money, and also, the money we do have available to spend is going towards the Xbox One, and the A Link Between Worlds Limited Edition 3DSXL. Those, coupled with the fact that my son's birthday falls on the same date - a fact that I'm sure many of you are now well aware of! - means that this month is extremely tight (in fact, we've actually had to save a chunk of our money last month, and also some of our money from next month is also going towards it (luckily the pay-dates fall on good dates so that this is possible!)

I'm really glad that there won't be a big, mandatory (for us) purchase to be made next year (such as the Xbox One), since the new console releases are this year, so at least next year it will all just be about games and movies that are due out. Something which I'm hoping will also be calmer in comparison to this year, not so much in terms of how many games are released, as I know that lots will be released quickly due to the new consoles, but at the rate these new games get CEs.

Really hoping that not many games get CEs next year, as this year has been brutal, to the point where it has actually depleted our love of collecting a little. We will still continue to collect, however we have decided to focus more on which items/franchises we collect.

I will be focusing more on Pokémon, Zelda, and a few other new releases that take my interest (games that I will want to play, as opposed to just buying for the sake of it) - so these other releases may be things such as  another Grand Theft Auto (if there is one), more Batman games, Lego games, etc.

Allan will be focusing on Zelda, Dragon Ball Z, and like me, a few other new releases that interest him.

We are definitely not aiming to collect anything and everything next year. It is just not feasible anymore. Not just because it's too difficult to afford everything, it's also too difficult to find space for it all, so barely anything will be able to be displayed, and instead, would stay boxed up :(

Are any of you having to restrict what you are collecting now? If so, what are your "restrictions"?

Black Milk.

So Black Milk have just posted the Limited List to prepare for their upcoming releases.
If you don't already know, a Limited List is a list of items already in stock on their website, that now, once sold out, will not be restocked.

So basically, once they're gone, they're gone.

Out of the stuff already in the Limited section on their site, and the newly added stuff, there are 16 must-have items for me.

Guess how many I can afford. Go on, guess!
None. That's right, none.

Why must they do this!?

This means that all of these pretties, unless they stick around for quite a while (as you all know I'm skinto for the next while due to AJ's birthday, the Xbox One release, A Link Between Worlds release, preparing for Christmas, etc), I will miss out on:

Unicorn Black Leggings
Vader Comic Swimsuit

Wet Look Side Suspenders
Suicide of Morozumi Leggings

Star Wars Manga Dress

Stormtrooper Dress

Splatter Skull HWMF Leggings
Skull Black Dress

Ouija Board Leggings
Midnight Owl Dress

Matte Black Reverse Suspenders

Galaxy Green Suspenders

Death Pit Leggings

Circuit Board Purple Leggings

Cathedral Skirt
Boba Fett's Last Stand Dress

Priorities are definitely the Matte Black Reverse Suspenders, Ouija Board Leggings, Galaxy Green Suspenders, Boba Fett's Last Stand Dress and Death Pit Leggings. Adore the Midnight Owl dress too, but a Skater Dress version is due out on the 24th, although unfortunately I won't have any money in time for that either!

So very gutted that I will probably miss out on most, if not all of these. And that's before we even have the new Ammo release on the 24th to think about - of which I can afford nothing, again! So if anyone has a couple of grand to spare that they'd like to donate to my Black Milk fund, it would be much appreciated ;)

October Updates.

So as most of you will know, Watch_Dogs has now been delayed until April 2014 at the earliest, which comes as quite a shock considering we were just 5 weeks from release.

Part of me is sad that I now have to wait longer to play what was my most anticipated game of 2013, but the other part of me is relieved, as it frees up some much needed cash in November - allowing us in the Asylum to get our hands on the newly announced The Legend of Zelda: A Link between Worlds Limited Edition 3DSXL!

Pictured here, alongside the (also newly-announced) Luigi Special Edition 3DSXL, the "A Link between Worlds" handheld is stunning.

Due out on the 22nd November this year, A Link between Worlds looks to be an amazing addition to the wonderful The Legend of Zelda series. Extremely looking forward to it :)

Will you be getting either of the 3DSXLs pictured above?
How do you feel about the delay of Watch_Dogs?

Let me know in the comments below!

PS: Saints Row IV Emperor Zinyak's Game of the Generation Edition unboxing is coming soon! Was hesitant if I should re-dye my hair before doing it (as it is currently an odd shade of pinky-orange right now) but that would delay the video until the end of the month, so I've decided you can all just put up with my crazy hair! You can see the newly re-dyed hair in my special Halloween video that I'll be posting on, well... y'know HALLOWEEN!

Entries to the Asylum, 5th October 2013 - and some other shizz.

I'm desperate to get an unboxing up on site for you all, but I've only had two votes so far, so c'mon! Get voting, GTA V CE or Saints Row IV CE :) I will give you a few more days and that is it! Even if I get no more votes, I'll put the winner up on Monday :)

Haven't done this in a while, but today's entries to the Asylum are:

Splinter Cell Blacklist Steelbook.
- Bought on eBay from the Zavvi Outlet for a tiny price of £1.99, I couldn't not get this, despite being ridiculously skint.

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD Ganondorf Edition.
- GAME Exclusive in the UK, priced £59.99. Very happy to have gotten this.

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD Limited Edition Premium Wii U Bundle.
- Bought from Zavvi for £239.99, this was a late birthday present (very late, considering I turned 21 in July!) from Allan. Very happy to finally have a Wii U, and have had a quick test of it so far and I actually really like it!

Does anyone know what is happening in Vegas right now? No? Well, I'll tell you.

That's what!

Yep, Sharkiecon is happening right now in good ol' Las Vegas, and I am stuck here in Glasgow. I have seen some sneaky peeks of some shoes that Black Milk Clothing are collaborating with Solestruck for, and I must say, I am drooling.

In particular, I have seen a pair of I Eat Mice shoes, and I must have them (so jL, you better make them, k?).

Same goes for three amazing pairs of High Tops (Whoa Dudes, Cross of St Peter and Black Milk) and awesome Amethyst and CoSP flatforms.

Why must I be poor!?

To the Gods of Black Milk Clothing and Solestruck, if there are any UK size 4s of any of the above kicking around, send 'em my way ;)

Have you received anything this week? If so, what?
Are you at Sharkiecon? What sneaks have you peeked?

So today is the 1st of October, a brand new month for gaming, and the launch date of GTA Online!
Haven't yet had a chance to try it out as I can't get on due to the amount of people all trying at the same time, but I did watch Allan play it for a little bit this morning, and I have to say, I'm looking forward to being in a giant online GTA world!

Apologies for not uploading the unboxing video this past weekend, as I only had one vote and I figured I'd wait until I receive a few more :) So please get posting which edition you'd like to see unboxed: GTA V Collector's Edition or Saints Row IV Emperor Zinyak's Game of the Generation Edition :)

Last night was a loooooong night here in the Asylum. Had to wait up till midnight for the launch of Black Milk Clothing's Halloween "All Killer No Filler" release, which is absolutely brilliant.

Thanks to my mum for helping me out a little, I got the following:

Blood Splatter Skater Dress
Jason Lives Leggings
Sketches of a Mad Man Leggings
Slasher Black GFT
Really looking forward to receiving them all!

Did you buy anything in the Black Milk Halloween release? If so, which pieces?
Which CE would you like to see unboxed? Saints Row IV or GTA V?

This year is flying by!

It's unreal how fast this year has gone. Seems like it was just yesterday when we all flipped over to January on our calendars (oops, mine is still at March 2012...) and now we are nearly in October!

Phew. Not long left of this year, which is actually quite a good thing tbh. This year has been one of the best and worst years for collecting, in my opinion.

We've had some absolute belters (the Scottish in me there, basically means "awesome things" to non-Scottish folk) this year so far, such as the Dead Space 3 Dev Team Edition, The Last of Us Post-Pandemic Edition, Saints Row IV Emperor Zinyak's Game of the Generation Edition and the GTA V Collector's Edition, and that's just a handful!

We still have the amazing upcoming releases of Batman: Arkham Origins, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Watch_Dogs, just to name a few, and they all have some pretty awesome editions lined up so far.

And all of this isn't even including the barrage of movies we've seen this year. As a friend (Gemini-Phoenix, over at CE.org and SteelbookHunterz) pointed out a few days ago:

"So far this year (1st Jan-1st Oct) there have been over 85 UK SteelBook releases. Between 1st Oct and the end of the year, there will be more than 70! These next three months are going to get quite hectic, so keep checking the list regularly to stay on top of them!"

The list he is referring to is his amazing Definitive List of Forthcoming UK Bluray Steelbooks, and it is an absolute Godsend - makes keeping track of all these Steelbooks much easier (albeit I've unfortunately had to cancel pretty much all of my preorders - boo!)

It can be found here, however you will have to sign up to view it (don't worry, it's free to sign up, but you do have to wait to have your account approved by an admin!), but believe me, it's worth it.

I am going to be uploading an unboxing for you all this weekend, either of the GTA V Collector's Edition, or the Saints Row IV Emperor Zinyak's Game of the Generation Edition :) Leave your vote in the comments below, or on the post on my Facebook page here and remember to give me a like while you're there ;)

I'll also be doing a giveaway once I reach 150 fans on my Facebook page, so the more you share on my page, and the more friends you can get to like it, the sooner the giveaway will begin!

So get liking!

Has this year flown by for you? Which edition do you vote for my unboxing this weekend?

Collecting Slow-Down.

Hey guys :)
Feel like I've been "gone" forever, even though my last post was a few days ago...

Having to severely cut back on collecting lately, which sucks, but needs must.

Our monthly income has drastically gone down, so obviously we had to rearrange our priorities, so from now till the end of the year, we are down to less than 10 preorders left (most of which aren't high priced preorders!) and even at that, they may still be cut down further, which, for us, is crazy.

But to make up for the severe lack of incoming editions, I will be posting photos and unboxing videos/reviews again very soon! I'll probably be filming a few unboxings this week/weekend for you all, and I'll get a few reviews up of things I've been playing and watching recently :)

So keep checking back in the next day or two for the first of my unboxings, probably some new pictures, and a review or two!

I promise...

Anything you'd like to see reviewed or unboxed?

Black Milk Clothing.

So, if you know me in real life, or you speak to me frequently online, then you will probably know that I have another addiction - other than games/movies/etc.

Black Milk Clothing.
Find them here.

This addiction has been a year in the making, but until last Saturday, I'd never bought a single piece (due to the game/movie addiction using up all of my money).

Well, Saturday the 7th of September marks my first ever order from Black Milk, and already I am itching like mad to make my next order.

There are quite a few items that are extremely high on my wish list, but due to my lack of money, are currently out of my reach, and sadly will soon be gone forever as they are on the "Limited List" (when items go on the Limited List, once they sell out, that's it - gone forever - they will not be restocked).

This is my current Limited List Wish List, as well as a few other pieces that are desperately coveted by me, and that I am so sad that I cannot afford right now:

Galaxy Green Suspenders
Watermelon Skater Skirt
Star Wars Montage Leggings
Mass Effect N7 Leggings
Mass Effect "Don't Cross Omega's Boss" Dress
Harry Potter "Patronus" Leggings
Harry Potter "Snape Attacks" GFT
Harry Potter "There's A Phoenix In My Office" Dress
Harry Potter "Weasley's Weather Bottle" GFT

I want them all so bad. And to make matters worse, the Halloween release is coming up fast, and I don't think I have any money to spare for it, and rumour has it that they will only be available for purchase for 48 hours! So I am praying that somehow I can manage to afford the two pieces that I've already decided I have to have.

The Blood Splatter Skater Dress and the James Patrick-designed Halloween leggings.

No pics of either yet, but I'm sure sneaks will be shown of the finished products very soon, in which case I'll update this post :)

So if you're reading this jL, some freebies wouldn't go amiss ;).
I kid, I kid :)

So my Christmas Wish List for this year is definitely some money for Black Milk, or even BM vouchers/gift cards :) As 2014 is definitely gonna be a Black Milk fuelled year for me!

Do you own any Black Milk? If so, which pieces?

AWOL, once again.

Hey guys :)
Sorry, once again, for my absence of late. Have had a lot going on in real life, so haven't had much time to get on here to write!

Last Saturday we were at the very first MCM Scotland Comic Con. Got there at half eight in the morning, and left just before five (it finished at six) so it was a pretty long day.

Sadly, there wasn't a whole lot to actually do at it. 85% of it was just vendor stalls, 10% being Comic Village - an area where comic artists, etc can have tables to sell stuff and do sketches, and the final 5% being "guests" - which were few and far between.

There were less than 10 guests at the event, most of whom were from the cast of Merlin, which was pretty disappointing, as the other MCM Comic Cons get people like Edgar Wright going to them! The one guest we were excited about however, was Vic Mignogna - the voice of Broly from Dragon Ball Z. He is also the main character - Edward - in Fullmetal Alchemist, but Broly is the reason we were excited for him.

He was an absolutely lovely guy, so down to earth. However, like every other American person we meet, when they sign stuff for us, they always spell Allan's name wrong.

Them: "Ah, Allan, so is that A L A N or A L L E N"

Us: "A L L A N" (putting severe emphasis on the second A)

Them: "Ah, cool" (then proceeds to spell it Allen)

Pretty annoying, since most of the things we have signed to Allan are spelt with an E, but what can you do, eh?

But anyway, yeah - Vic was an outstanding guy. Very friendly, and most people were crying when they got to meet him, which, to watch, was sweet and awkward at the same time.

At the end of the event, we all (there were eight of us) went out for dinner at World Buffet, and afterwards came back to ours for a drink - however I managed to fall asleep pretty fast on the floor!

Didn't buy too much at it, or at least, it doesn't feel like we did, but we spent pretty much all of our money (Allan mostly spent his on sketches in Comic Village).

I'll get pics up of what we bought later on!

Oh, and my Harley Quinn cosplay didn't happen (boo!), as my corset I was waiting on didn't turn up, despite me ordering well in advance.

Oh well, it was a good day anyway.

Were you at Scotland Comic Con?
Did you cosplay? If so, who as?

Xbox One Release Date.

So Microsoft have finally announced the release date for their next-gen console, the Xbox One.

November 22nd 2013.

That is gonna be one hella expensive day for us here in the Asylum. It is AJ's third birthday, the release date for Watch_Dogs (in the UK, at least) and now the release date for the Xbox One.

Luckily we have budgeted for all of those things, but my God, that one single day is gonna cost a fortune!

Can't wait though :)

Have you got an Xbox One preordered? Are you happy to finally know the release date?
Let me know in the comments below!

So I'm sat watching UFC right now, and something popped into my head.

I'd be an awful UFC fighter.

As soon as one guy's punch connected with the other guy's nose, blood rushed everywhere. Instead of continuing to punch, I'd be like *jumps back* "Shit, sorry man!"

Plus I wouldn't like touching the other person's blood. I dunno, it just creeps me out.

Still enjoy watching it though :)

Sorry for the lack of updates, haven't really been able to get a spare moment recently.

Our bathroom sprung a leak a few nights ago, coming in through the ceiling. Something had burst on the water tank in the loft, soaking all the insulation and then dripped down through the ceiling into the bathroom.

I am thanking the lord that we decided to bring down all of our CE boxes a few months ago, or else there could have been disaster.

A few new things been announced in the collecting world, such as:

- A massive amount of Steelbooks from Zavvi.
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD LE Wii U Console.
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Limited Edition.

Definitely getting both Wind Waker items. Luckily we don't have to do too much to fit them in our budget, as Allan had already intended to buy me a Wii U for my 21st birthday, back in July. I had a feeling that a Zelda themed one would be released alongside Wind Waker HD, so we held onto the money. Luckily, we'd budgeted £300 for a Wii U back then, so because the LE Wii U is only £250, that means we only need to come up with another tenner to afford the Limited Edition of the game, too!

On the Zavvi note, we can't take it anymore. They are releasing their Steelbooks in a ridiculously short period of time, often with many releases falling on the same date. As a friend pointed out:

73 Steelbooks to come, between now and the end of December. I know Zavvi isn't to blame for all of them, but they certainly are the worst culprits.

So unfortunately, as with statues, we are now not only just cutting back on Steelbook releases, we are practically eradicating them from our preorder list. We don't want to, of course, but with the rate that Zavvi is pumping them out, and at least £15 a pop, with some titles over £20(!), we simply cannot afford to continue. I know that many other collectors are feeling this burn right now, too.

If only Zavvi would realise this, and space out their release schedule, that way we wouldn't be practically giving up, so they'd still get our money. But no, instead they will lose a lot of business as collectors are just tuning out now. We can't afford these onslaughts of Steelbooks, in such quick succession.

Limited to 4 per month (or 1 per week, however you want to look at it), it would be far more manageable. I know I've said that before, but the more we ALL say it, the more Zavvi is likely to actually listen.

Until then though, my Steelbook collection won't be getting much added to it.

What do you think about the speed of Zavvi's releases? Are you struggling to keep up?

Entries to the Asylum - Thursday 22nd August 2013!

I know, I know. I'm getting bad at doing these on the date the stuff actually arrives! Anyway, a couple of things were added to the Asylum yesterday (technically they arrived on Tuesday, but they went to my mum's so I didn't get them till last night).

- Saints Row IV Emperor Zinyak's Game of the Generation Edition.
- S.H. Figuarts Piccolo SDCC Special Color Variant.
- Dragon Ball Z 3 Pack Figures (SSJ Goku, SSJ Vegeta and SSJ God Goku) SDCC Exclusive.

Both Dragon Ball Z related items were exclusive to San Diego Comic Con, and Allan was gutted that he was going to miss out on them, so I cancelled one of my lesser-wanted preorders and bought them from BigBadToyStore :) Needless to say, he was over the moon last night when I handed them to him :)

The Saints Row IV CE is absolutely massive. Limited to 5000 and individually numbered (!), we knew we had to have it. It cost $119.99 plus shipping, taking it to a pretty good price of $139.98 (shipping to UK for the package would have worked out WAY higher than $19.99 if I got someone to forward it to me!). That worked out to be £93.29, which is pretty good, but unfortunately since it came from Gamestop (and don't worry, I prepared for this in advance), I received customs charges of £30.50. Still worked out cheaper than it being forwarded though, mind.

The package from BigBadToyStore managed to escape customs-charge-free! Yay :D

Have you received anything lately?

Some quick Gamescom Updates!

Here are a few quick pieces of news from Gamescom today:

- European preorders of Xbox One will receive a copy of Fifa 14 with their preorder (digital).
- Fable Legends has been announced by Lionhead, exclusive to Xbox One.
- PS Vita is getting a $100 price drop in the US taking it to $199, and €199 in Europe. UK price drop TBC.
- PS Vita Memory Cards also to receive a price drop.
- Borderlands 2 is getting a PS Vita release.
- Fez also receiving a PS Vita release.
- If you buy a game on PS3 (such as ACIV, Battlefield 4, etc), you can then buy on PS4 as a digital copy at a heavily discounted price.
- PS4 release dates: NA - 15th November, EU: 29th November.
- 1 million PS$ preorders to date.

More to be added continually, so keep checking back/refreshing!

Fable Legends!

Lionhead have just announced Fable Legends, a new game for Xbox One, at Gamescom. Whilst it isn't Fable 4, it is a proper game in the series (and not a spin-off Kinect title, etc).

Set 400 years before the events of the first Fable, you will take the role of one of a number of different heroes, and you have your friends taking the places of three others.

Very, very excited about this!

Are you looking forward to Fable Legends?

Entries to the Asylum - Monday 19th August 2013.

Forgot to post this yesterday, but had one entry to the Asylum :) Had to collect it from the delivery office as I had to pay Customs Charges (grr!), so it's probably quite safe to say that it is the single most expensive Steelbook that we, in the Asylum, have ever purchased!

- Dragon Ball Z Broly Triple Feature Steelbook.

Allan wanted it, as he's been meaning to get it for ages, but Vic Mignogna - who voices Broly - is going to Scotland Comic Con next month, so that gave him the kick up the bum to finally buy it. However he was a little gutted as it was a lot cheaper last time he nearly bought it...

It cost us £40.66 including shipping, and then £13.85 in Customs Charges. So £54.51 in total...

I think other than this one, the maximum we've spent on a single Steelbook has been approx. £30 or so.

Ah well, Allan is happy with it :)

Quick non-game related delivery today (20th August), two T-Shirts that I bought in the InsaniTEE sale on Qwertee a few days ago.You don't get to choose the T-Shirt you want, you just order 1 or 2, and choose the correct size, and you receive a random shirt :)

I bought two as a surprise for Allan, as he wanted to do it, but had already spent too much on Qwertee lately. He doesn't know yet, as I didn't want to tell him incase the two T-Shirts that arrived weren't ones he'd like (so I'd need to take time trying to swap them on the Qwertee swap page) but luckily both of them are great.

Would have been better if they were Dragon Ball Z, or Zelda related, but they're cool nevertheless. Plus, they're both ones that we'd have liked, but not liked enough to buy (I don't mean that in a horrible way, I just mean that because we hold off on lots of ones we really like as we can't afford to buy a T-Shirt from Qwertee every single day!)

Can't wait for Allan to get home so he can see them :D

Have you received anything recently?

Entries to the Asylum - Wednesday 14th August 2013.

One entry into the Asylum today, thanks to Ingmar over at CE.org :)

- Defiance Press Kit.

Definitely need to get some photos up soon, as this is a truly magnificent piece :)

Has anything dropped through your letterbox today?
Let me know in the comments below!

EDIT: One other entry to the Asylum today, it came later than the first, hence why I didn't mention it :)

- Mad Max Trilogy Blu-Ray Petrol Can, a bargain from Amazon UK for just £22.12 delivered!

Will go great on the shelf next to the Amazon US version (which came in a silver tin).

Pics up soon :)

Tuesday, 13 August 2013

Entries to the Asylum - Monday 12th August 2013.

Couple of entries to the Asylum from yesterday that I forgot to post :), all of which are Zavvi exclusive Steelbooks :)

- Evil Dead (Reboot).
- Evil Dead 2.
- Rambo: First Blood.
- The Place Beyond the Pines.

Unfortunately, Rambo has a small scratch down the front of it, which was only noticeable once the cellophane was taken off, so I am currently awaiting a reply from Zavvi about if I can receive a replacement or not.

Have you received any goodies lately?

Entries to the Asylum - 9th August 2013!

Two entries into the Asylum today :)
The Jungle Book Steelbook and Homefront Resist Edition Steelbook.

The Jungle Book Steelbook is exclusive to Zavvi in the UK at the price of £22.99.
Link can be found here, but unfortunately it has already sold out.

The Homefront Resist Edition Steelbook is one I've kept coming back to for months, as I always see it around for £10 or less, but I've never gone for it before now. But I was buying a can of spray paint from Amazon this week, and as you may now know, Amazon now charges you for delivery on orders less than £10 - UNLESS a movie, game or book is included in the order.

So as the postage that Amazon wanted for the spray paint was £6 odds, I went on the hunt for something cheap to get me free shipping. And for £3.54, I found the Homefront Steelbook :)

Extremely looking forward to any other Disney Steelbooks that Zavvi brings out, as they are certainly beautiful!

Have you had any recent deliveries?

Rayman Legends exclusive Mario & Luigi Costumes!

Today, Ubisoft announced that Nintendo’s popular video game heroes Mario and Luigi will make their debut appearance in Rayman Legends, the highly anticipated platformer developed by Ubisoft Montpellier. Exclusively available in the version for Nintendo’s Wii U system, players will be able to unlock skins for Rayman as Mario and Globox as Luigi after 20 minutes of gameplay.

Rayman Legends will be released in the UK on August 30th 2013 for Nintendo Wii U, Microsoft Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation Vita and Microsoft Windows PC.

It seems that every week there's a new thing revealed for Rayman Legends that makes it more and more exciting for me! And also to make it harder for me to decide which platform to get it for.

Will you be getting Rayman Legends?

Batman: Arkham Origins Collector's Edition!

WB Games UK have just this second announced on Twitter that a Collector's Edition for Arkham Origins has been revealed, and will go up on Amazon UK for preorder very soon!

Somehow, they didn't include any images alongside this "announcement", but if the rumours from a few weeks ago are anything to go by, this is what the CE will look like, and will contain:

Exclusive Arkham Origins statue featuring Batman and The Joker, measuring approx:
- Height: 30cm.
- Depth: 13.5cm.
- Width: 13cm.

An 80-page full colour hardcover artbook.

Assassin's Intel Dossier, including files on the eight assassin's, as well as Black Mask's contract.

1st Appearance Batman skin DLC.

Deathstroke Challenge Pack DLC - Usable throughout all of the Arkham Origins Challenge maps and also includes 2 bonus challenge maps and 2 bonus Deathstroke skins.

Exclusive 3D Metalpak.

and the PS3 version will also include the Knightfall pack as an exclusive piece of content (boo!)

It will retail for £79.99 in the UK, and is available in "Limited Quantities" so it may be best for you to get a preorder in ASAP. Release date is 25th October this year!

Will you be getting this?

EDIT: Preorders are now live, but £20 more expensive than the stated RRP... they can be found here for Xbox 360 and here for PS3.

Recently, both myself and Allan have developed a bit of an addiction to game/movie related clothing. It started when our friend Lauren tagged us in a T-Shirt that she'd spotted on Qwertee, that she knew Allan would like:

So, straight away, he bought it.

A day or two later, a T-Shirt that I knew Allan would love popped up on TeeFury:

However I bought it in red for him (it is absolutely gorgeous in red!). That's two t-shirts already...

A couple of days pass, and we think to ourselves "I hope no more really awesome T-Shirts go up soon, as we're low on money. Hopefully they choose stuff we don't really like..."

Well, a few more days pass, and this goes up on Qwertee:

Earthworm Jim crossed with Ash from The Evil Dead. Allan couldn't pass it up. Third to the collection now.

The next day, also on Qwertee, this appears:

Allan wanted it because it's Pokémon crossed with TMNT. And I wanted it for the same reason. He said he would probably have to pass though as he'd just bought the "Groovy!" T-Shirt the day before. I sulked for a bit, and somehow my finger "slipped" and it was ours...

Then InsertCoinClothing announce that they're doing a 3 for 2 deal on their T-Shirts, and for one lucky person who places an order that day, they might receive a game in with their purchase.
I still had a £5 voucher for InsertCoin left over from the goodies that Scruff got me last year when he went to Eurogamer, so once I'd dug that out, I snapped up another couple of T-Shirts - this time ladies' ones, and in my size (as all the previous purchases had been men's Tees in Allan's size, so he could wear them, but I could wear them too (but they'd be boy-fit on me).

These three are now on their way to me - they've actually already been delivered, but to my parents' house, so my Mum is dropping them off tonight after work - so I am very excited to receive them.

Cost me a grand total of £9.50 delivered for the three InsertCoin Tees, after the 3 for 2 discount and my £5 voucher was applied, so very happy indeed :)

It feels nice to be buying clothes again, as I haven't gotten any new clothes in so long, as I'm so addicted to collecting games and movies. I plan on buying tonnes more clothes at some point soon, if I have cash to spare. But for now, that is all I can afford, we've exhausted our budgets with these T-Shirts haha, and there's one more that has gone up today on Qwertee, that we really, really want, but hesitant about getting due to our lack of funds. Allan might end up jumping on it anyway (but the other bad thing is, we think an InsaniTee sale is going up on Qwertee tomorrow!).

Why can't we be rich!?

Oh how I want you, lovely Triforce T-Shirt!

Have any of you got addictions to T-Shirts relating to the things you love? Or just clothes in general?
Where do you like to get yours?

Devil's Kiss Vigor Bottle!

A Devil's Kiss Vigor Bottle from Bioshock Infinite has just been put up on the Irrational Store. Link can be found here: *mwah*

If it's anything like the Murder of Crows one, it will be sold out in no time. People are already attempting to sell them on eBay for at least double the price! It's actually a very attractive piece, however I do still prefer the Murder of Crows one (even though I've yet to add it to the collection, boo!), which also goes for insane prices on eBay (so I doubt I'll manage to get one anytime soon unless someone gives me a nice price *hint hint*).

Limited to 500, this one has a larger run than the MOC Vigor, but is a bit cheaper at $350. There is also a smaller run of signed ones (also within the 500), limited to 50. However, just for having Ken Levine's autograph (which let's be honest, it's on basically everything in that store nowadays!), it bumps up the price to $600, which is an absolutely ridiculous price hike. They are available >>here<<.

I'd honestly love to own one of the signed ones, since they're rarer, and come with a certificate of authenticity (which for some reason, the non signed ones don't seem to include), however I am nowhere near being able to just drop $600, plus shipping, plus the inevitable customs charges on the package, now, or even anytime soon (plus it'll no doubt sell out soon).

My only saving grace is that the signed one is pretty unnatractive, due to the location of the signature. It would have been far better to have the signature on the underside of the base, just as the Murder of Crows ones were.

If Ken Levine wants to be an absolute charmer and donate one to me though, I totally wouldn't refuse ;)

Are you getting one of these? If so, which version, and why?
