Gotta catch 'em all!

Okay, I've given myself a few minutes to calm down from the hysteria that broke out after the Nintendo Direct livestream.

Pokémon X & Pokémon Y.

Holy crap.

I am so excited right now. We are finally getting a legitimate 3D Pokémon game (and not just an app thing like Pokédex 3D).

I am really looking forward to this, and have already chosen my starter Pokémon. I'm definitely going for Fennekin - I'm pretty loyal to my fire types.

Are you looking forward to them? If so, who will you choose as your starter?

  1. Another set of pokemon games... :S

Never bothered with Black and White 2. Wasn't impressed with Black and White either. Don't think I'll be getting the next instalment. Pokemon just doesn't have the same appeal to me anymore. :( I don't like the new monsters that came in black and white. They're unexciting and uninspiring. HG/SS will be the last pokemon games in my eyes. :(

  2. Yeah, see I didn't get B/W2 either since I was just about to go to Gamescom, so cancelled those to save some money, and I hadn't yet completed the first ones yet. Planning on getting B/W2 within the next month or two though :)

See, I can't help but love Pokémon. The newer Pokémon still don't appeal to me as much as the First Gen did, but that's because they have all the nostalgia, and everything for me. So even though the older ones are still my favourites, I still love trying out new Pokémon games XD

  3. I have always loved the pokemon games and everytime a new one has been released, I have bought both copies of the new games. Was really disappointed in Black and White though. The pokemon didn't appeal to me and the main bad guys were too stupid for my liking.

I did eventually finish it after having both games for over 12 months and even then it was a slog. Felt obligated to complete them before B/W2 came out as I contemplated buying them purely out of loyalty. In the end I decided not to waste my money! >.<

Anyway, I watched a trailer on the ONM site yesterday and the video for the new games looks pretty cool, so I might give them one last chance with these new games.
