Arrgh, me hearties!

So last night, the editions for Assassin's Creed IV were revealed. 

We have the top tier one: Black Chest Edition, which is exclusive to the UPlay Store.



  • The Black Chest Edition includes everything a true Assassin's Creed fan could desire. This masterpiece will cost you £119.99 (GBP) for consoles and £109.99 (GBP) for PC. It will come in a collector's box with the following content:
  • 55cm-high diorama of Captain Edward Kenway leading the charge on his ship's bow, the Jackdaw
  • steelbook in the colours of the Golden Age of Piracy
  • high quality artbook including artworks that inspired the game
  • The Official Game Soundtrack
  • A world map Pirates used to navigate through the world's most treacherous waters
  • 2 lithographs in a protective envelope
  • The Jackdaw's Black Flag, embroidered with the Assassin's Crest
  • 2 canvas prints
  • Digital Content
    • 3 additional solo missions for an extra 45 minutes of gameplay:
    • Black Island: Captain Morgan's favorite ship has sunken off the coast with a full load of legendary sailing equipment. Explore the Black Island and retrieve these items Pirates have desperately been looking for.
    • Hidden Mystery: Follow Stede Bonnet's path and find the secrets of his adventures on the beautiful island of St Lucia.

Then we have the middle one: Buccaneer Edition, which is exclusive to GAME within the UK.


The Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Buccaneer Edition is priced at only £79.99 (GBP) for consoles and £69.99 (GBP) for PC. It includes the following:
  • 45cm figurine of Captain Edward Kenway
  • Collector's box
  • high quality artbook including artworks that inspired the game
  • The Official Game Soundtrack
  • 2 lithographs in a protective envelope
  • Digital Content
    • 3 additional solo missions for an extra 45 minutes of gameplay:

This edition contains the least out of the editions so far, but is still presented beautifully in a Jumbo Steelbook, decorated with the symbol of the Assassin's, and the Skull of the Pirates. It is £64.99 (GBP) on consoles, and £54.99 (GBP) for PC. Inside you get the following:
  • Steelbook in the colours of the Golden Age of Piracy
  • high quality artbook including artworks that inspired the game
  • The Official Game Soundtrack
  • 2 lithographs in a protective envelope
  • Digital Content
    • 2 additional solo missions for an extra 30 minutes of gameplay

Of course, we have the generic "Special Edition" too, which contains some Day One DLC, but if you know me, then you know I don't count those as editions.

I have preordered all three already, majorly looking forward to them. Rumour has it that there is another edition though, the Pirates of the Seven Seas Edition.
