Journey to a better body.

Since our son was born, both myself and Allan have put on a fair bit of weight. For months we've been saying "right, that's it, the diet starts tomorrow" followed by "oh, but look, Pizza Hut/Just-Eat/our local takeaway has an offer on".

But enough is enough.

Yesterday, we both started the Insanity Workout. Initially, when we discovered it, we were pretty suspicious about it, since all those "get fit fast" type things are usually bullshit, but after only 1 day, our bodies are in agony and we can feel it in our muscles. It is intense.

It takes 60 days for the full course to be done, and during that time you follow the workout plan by watching the DVDs. We are definitely hoping to see a fair change in our bodies, since day one was brutal enough, never mind 60 days of it!

I'm hoping that there will be a noticeable difference in me during the 60 days, as I'd like to look semi-decent for September 7th, when we go to the Scotland MCM Comic Con. That will be day 48 of the 60 day cycle, so providing that the workout works as it says it does, I should definitely have dropped some lbs by then (as if you have a look on the official website, some people have lost massive amounts of weight (obviously it's all proportionate to how much weight you need to lose in the beginning), but one woman lost 90lbs in the 60 days! That's more than I want to lose, so if I can even just get half, or 3/4 of the way to my goal weight, then I will be super happy.

Have you tried the Insanity Workout? How much weight did you lose overall (or how much muscle did you pack on, if that was your aim)?

Let me know in the comments below!
