Coming back with a BANG!

Hi guys!

I'm so sorry for my -very long- leave of absence. Due to a few factors, the site (and collecting, unfortunately) had to be put on the back burner for a while, so I apologise that I've basically posted nothing at all here (or on the few collecting sites I used to frequent) in the past six months.

Buuutttt...

I'M BAAAACK!

I am going to be posting lots of new content over the next few days, as well as finally getting around to some collection photographs, since I've been promising you all them for like a year now.

I will also be continually updating the site multiple times a week, so you will have plenty to keep checking back for.

And of course, getting back into the swing of things with collecting - albeit this month being very minimal due to the natural lack of money around the Christmas period - so beginning after Christmas, there will be far more collection updates again, with Entries to the Asylum returning then too.

If there's anything you wanna ask, anything you wanna see unboxed or reviewed that you know I've already got, or even if you want a more recent unboxing/review as I still have picked up some things in the past six months (so feel free to ask what I have!), then let me know and I'll get it done ASAP.

Also, myself and Allan have both recently started PS+ so are working our way through the games given on there too (since most of you already knew I've got XBL) so feel free to ask for reviews on things from PS+ and Games with Gold too, if you'd like!

Anyway, check back later for some quick updates.

Glad to be back!

Asylum Reviews: Watch_Dogs [Xbox One].

I know I'm a bit late with this, but when I said I was gonna post my review last week, I then realised I wasn't very far from completing the game, so I decided to postpone it so I could review it properly (still a few achievements to get, but story and all collectibles have been completed). So here it is - finally! - my Watch_Dogs review!

So first of all, I'd like to thank Ubisoft for creating such a wonderful game. Sure, it did not live up to the hype generated for it a few years ago at E3, but I think that's a classic case of expecting too much from a game, before it is anywhere near ready for release.

You play as Aiden Pearce, aka The Vigilante, aka The Fox. Weirdly, I don't think I heard him be referred to as The Fox anywhere but in the little in-game news reports. He is a hacker, a very good one at that, and previously a hit had been put out on him, which caused the unfortunate death of his niece, Lena.

An urge for revenge, and a quest for reason ensues, and here we are. You are trying to find out who put out the hit on you, why, and ultimately get revenge upon them for causing your niece's death.

The plot was good, and it was good to see characters' reactions to you, as you dwindle down this path of self-destruction. Revenge has pretty much consumed you, and you won't stop until you get it. Family members are visibly shocked by your actions at some points in the game, which forces you (as Aiden, of course) to take a hard look at yourself - "I killed all those people... what have I become?"

Graphics were good, but nothing compared to the uber crisp graphics shown at E3, although of course, this should probably have been expected. Real life hardly looks that good. A few... glitchy moments, if you could call it that, where movements by Aiden aren't quite as natural as they should have been, and once or twice (for me, at least) textures took a little bit to load on surfaces. Nothing too major.

Playing through the story, I didn't really bother with collectibles. Especially the check-in points. Those just seemed a bit tedious, although a few of the facts given once checked-in were actually quite interesting. However, as I should have expected, an achievement/trophy is unlocked for checking in at all 100 locations, so that then proved quite boring for me to just have to visit them all one by one (and my God, some players are Mayors of those check-in locations as they've checked in like 60+ times that week... no chance am I doing that!)

The other collectibles were quite good however, in particular I enjoyed the "Missing Persons" chain, as those were pretty interesting. I'd actually have liked if there were more serial-killer type missions to complete in the game, after all, you are a vigilante. Stopping a few crimes in progress is good - but solving murders, that's better.

One collectible final-mission, the Weapons Trade one, repeatedly glitched out on me however, which was extremely frustrating. At the point it would tell you to prepare for enemy reinforcements, three cars would appear on your mini-map, driving towards your location. Two would enter the "zone" but the third one ALWAYS got stuck at a set of lights. Outside of the mission zone. Which prevented me from being able to go up to it to kill the people inside. On two attempts, I successfully killed them, allowing the mission to proceed, first I used a grenade launcher, but this then made civilians call the cops on me, and I had no Jam Coms left to stop it, and this then made the mission so much more difficult, but I powered through, and completed the mission. I got a phone call from Tobias, and the achievement popped for completing it, and then the police helicopter killed me, forcing me to restart the mission. Second time round, I sniped the "stuck" car, and then completed the mission with ease afterwards.

One thing I noticed whilst playing was that there are quite a few awesome jumps set up in the game, the main one I've liked so far was at the unfinished bridge, and it pained me to realise that making that jump did not make an achievement pop.

The "Online _____" multiplayer activities, "Tailing", "Hacking", etc. are quite cool, however they are pretty damn annoying when you are in the middle of something *cough* Trying to check-in at all locations *cough* and other bloody players keep dropping into your game.

One player (I assume, as it surely couldn't have been a NPC, but it never initiated any online activities) came speeding into a building I was in, got out of their car and ran, and then I went outside to find them running towards a skip, and then they dived in! And when I walked closer, they kept getting out/getting back in/running around it, in order to not be seen by me. So I actually had a game of "tig" in this part. I really wish I had been recording at the time, as it was so bizarre.

I always did my best whilst playing not to injure/kill any civilians whilst out driving, however I would gladly hack every set of lights I came across to make all of the cars crash. A weird twist of morals there.

Overall, I would say the game is definitely worth playing, and if you can pick up one of the various editions, do it, as they come with a bunch of cool stuff! I will say though, I don't think it's a game I'll want to replay anytime soon (bar possibly completing it on another platform).

WATCH_DOGS
Played on Xbox One

Plot/Story - 8.5/10
Enjoyable, interesting story. Suffered a little due to short length of game, but still interesting nevertheless.

Length - 6/10
Could definitely have done with being a bit longer.

Collectibles/Side-Missions - 7/10
Really enjoyed the collectibles that resulted in missions, however the check-ins have brought this score down a point.

Graphics - 7.5/10
Didn't live up to the E3 presentation, but were still good. Could definitely have been better though.

OVERALL - 7.25/10

Have you played Watch_Dogs yet? If so, what did you think of it?

E3 2014, and Watch_Dogs!

So yesterday marked the start of E3, and boy has it been a big one.

Later today I will be posting a MASSIVE E3 2014 round-up, with our thoughts on everything that has been revealed so far.

I will also be posting (finally!) my review of Watch_Dogs. A game that, whilst hasn't quite lived up to my humongous expectations (damn you E3 reveal), has still had me hooked since I first inserted the disc.

So check back later today for both of those, and possibly some other surprises for you all :)

WATCH_DOGS!

So today came the release of my most anticipated game of 2014 - Watch_Dogs.
Actually, my most anticipated game ever since it was revealed way back at E3. I will have a review up very soon for you all, after I've worked my way through at least some of the game :)

Also, does anyone else see a hint of Matthew Fox in Aiden?
No? Just me then...

Did you get a copy of Watch_Dogs today?
Have you received any of the limited edition versions?
What are your thoughts?

Updates, inbound!

Hi guys!

Once again, sorry for my absence, things have been pretty crazy here of late, and I haven't had much time, energy or money, for that matter, to keep things updated and keep having new things to talk about.

HOWEVER.

Tonight, myself and Allan are going to see X-Men: Days of Future Past. We are super excited about it, and will post a nice big review for you all once we're home.

I'm also going to post my review for Godzilla (which we saw last Friday) tonight too. It's already written, but needs some tweaking before I can post it, and unfortunately I won't have time until later today to do so.

I also have something special for you all!

We received our FIRST, and only (so far), Kickstarter-backed project a few days ago. Cartoon Block Sketches Volume 1 - The Art of Evan Burse! The Kickstarter page, which is obviously finished/fully funded, can be found here, if you want to have a little look, but I'll get a nice post up tonight about that too. I'll give you a little hint though - it's amazing! ;)

I also have a pre-written post about all the things Allan received for his birthday last week, that I haven't yet posted (it's actually saved as a draft on here, rather than just on my laptop - that's how close I was to posting!), as I was awaiting some more photos (some new shots of our collection room) however the camera kept dying and it was taking too long, yada yada yada. So I might actually post that up for you in the next few minutes!

So don't go anywhere!

Insert Coin Clothing Review!

Apologies guys, for how long this has taken for me to upload! I was ill for a while after receiving the stuff, and then kept forgetting to take photos (and you can hardly review clothing without photos of the actual items!)

So here is my Insert Coin Clothing review!

There are a couple more things left to be photographed, the Fisher shirt and the Ryu dressing gown, so pics for those will go up within the next few hours (need to wait on Allan coming home from work to model the shirt and the dressing gown for me). The other kids t-shirt will have to wait unfortunately, as I've left it at my parents' house, so pics of that will be added as soon as I get it back :)

The quality of all of the pieces I've received so far has been fantastic. Here is a little run down of the products and a little insight into them all :)

The t-shirts are lovely and bright (in both the kids, and adult ranges - I have three t-shirts, I'll get photos of those up on here at some point soon, one of them matches the Dead Space one AJ is wearing!) and really good material.

AJ gives Insert Coin Clothing a double thumbs up!

Slightly better view of the t-shirt, so difficult to get him to stay still for a photo!

The Fisher shirt, which is the only shirt we've ever had from IC, is beautiful. The material is very high quality, and it looks amazing on. The colour bled something awful when it was first washed, and still does slightly now (I tend to handwash it due to this) but it doesn't affect the colour in the shirt itself at all. I imagine if I ran it through the machine, then the colour-run would stop, but I don't really have a lot of dark things to put it in with haha.

[FISHER SHIRT IMAGE WILL BE POSTED HERE TONIGHT]

The Ryu dressing gown is lovely and cosy, very thick and just, uhh! Honestly, it's brilliant for just curling up in when your cold, or when you're just out of a bath :)

[RYU DRESSING GOWN IMAGE WILL BE POSTED HERE TONIGHT]

LEGGINGS. What can I say about the leggings? I love them. Reading my blog, you'll know that I'm a big fan of leggings. I own leggings from both IC, and Black Milk Clothing. The Insert Coin ones are fantastic quality, lovely and bright, and finally give my bottom half that much needed gaming injection. The material is slightly thinner than Black Milk's leggings, but it's not a big problem. If they were a bit thicker, to match up with the thickness of BM ones, that would be perfect, as the IC ones do tend to go a little sheer on the butt at times (but that might be because my ass is massive lol) but they are honestly amazing. Got my eyes on a few more pairs right now!

Here are my beautiful "Power Up" leggings, obviously based on Pac-Man :)

Insert Coin Clothing's "Power Up" Pac-Man Leggings, paired with my River Island "Hesienberg" Breaking Bad jumper :)

But where's Pac-Man?

THERE HE IS!

WAKA WAKA

Assassin's Creed III "Betsy Ross" Leggings, by Insert Coin, paired with a preorder bonus T-shirt for ACIII.

Different angle to show how the legs line up to create the AC logo (which I actually have tattooed on my back!)

Sonic the Hedgehog "Sonic Speed" leggings, by IC - paired with an old Primark T-shirt from the men's section :)

There's the blue blur there!
The Dreamcast bag is one of two bags that Insert Coin do, and the only one I have so far. It is amazing. A brilliant size for fitting in everything I need during the day, and it gets SO MANY compliments. We attended a Comic Mart event last week and the amount of people that were like "omg, I love your bag!" was unreal. I pointed them all in the direction of Insert Coin Clothing, naturally.

Insert Coin's Dreamcast bag. I love it!
Preorders for the latest pieces from ICC are LittleBigPlanet, which are up on the site now, and the rest of their Fable Anniversary range will go live very soon. I am majorly lusting after the Sackboy leggings, the Albion map leggings and the Jack of Blades jacket, but sadly I have no money to spare right now, boo! So if anyone wants to send those my way, I'll love you forever :P

I believe the next line to be going up for pre order after the second batch of Fable stuff will be inFAMOUS: Second Son, which myself and Allan are really looking forward to - he really wants the jacket and hat as they look amazing. Hoping we get a PS4 soon so we can actually play the game too, as it is super high on our list of things to get, but sadly, money issues mean we can't right now.

Do you have any pieces from Insert Coin Clothing? Do any of the new things take your fancy?

Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier Review!

Allan and I went to the cinema on Saturday to see this, after being excited about it for what feels like forever. I was appropriately dressed, in my new Captain America jumper (which I'll post pics of in this post later today) :)

So here is my review! I have kept it as spoiler free as possible, in fact, I don't refer much to the actual story, and more about the characters and their actors, as I don't want to ruin anything for those of you that haven't yet seen it!

Within the first few minutes of the movie, there is a butt-load of action and amazing fighting going on. A few moves from the Cap that are actually pretty hilarious due to his strength, but already we can tell that this movie is somewhat different to the first.

I'd actually go as far to say that this is the best standalone movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far (by standalone, I mean "not Avengers Assemble").

The effects in CA2:WS are mostly practical effects, rather than CGI, which really does make a difference. It makes the movie, and the action in it, so much more believable. Kudos to the directors for that! It obviously required a lot more work, from the production team and the cast, but it certainly was worth it.

Chris Evans was fantastic, as always, as Steve Rogers, the main man Captain America. Brilliant little nod to his "adapting to modern life" within the first few minutes of the movie, with a notebook that he writes in, filled with things people have obviously told him that he needs to check out. Star Wars was on the list, but is now crossed out, to suggest he's done that one now, a little nod to the Disney take-over of Star Wars :)

Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier, was phenomenal in his role. Prior to seeing the movie, being a big Gossip Girl fan I just kept saying "Carter Baizen" (his character in GG) any time I was talking about him. I would go on about how weird it was for "that d*ckhead Carter Baizen" to now be  playing one half of a 2 character title-role. But my God was he good. I didn't really care for him much in the first Captain America movie, but this time he just blew me (and Allan) away.

Since seeing the movie, he is now known as Bucky Barnes, rather than Carter Baizen.

He went through months of training for the role, and it definitely paid off. The Winter Soldier, as a character, was just fantastic. From the little things, like the way he moves, to the big fight scenes, he pulled it off marvellously (apologies for the slight pun). Of course, we all knew that Bucky Barnes is the Winter Soldier prior to seeing the movie, but one woman behind us GENUINELY gasped when he took off his mask, which was a little funny.

It was great to see Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson) getting more screen time - and story - this time round. I always feel like, in Nick Fury's case, he is just a background character. He never gets any real action, or whatever, in the movies. In the case of the standalone movies, he is pretty much just a cameo. And with the big Avengers Assemble movie cast, he again didn't serve much purpose. Of course, he got more screen time there, but again, all eyes were on the actual "Avengers".

With Black Widow, she just seems to be the little bit (or, rather huge bit, in Scarlett Johannson's case) of sex-appeal, in a very male-orientated cast. She stops it from being, well... a sausage fest. But in this movie, we got to see a good bit more of the softer side of her, a little bit less bravado, and a little more heart. And by the end, you definitely feel more connected with her character.

Sam Wilson aka Falcon (Anthony Mackie) was a great addition to the cast. His character was brilliant, and he suited the role perfectly. I hope to see him in another Marvel movie at some point soon :)

And my last pointer that I should mention, there is, as usual, an end-credits scene. BUT, there is also an end-end credits scene, so don't leave as soon as the first end credits scene has happened, because if you stick around till the end, you'll be treated to a first glimpse of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, prior to their debut in Age of Ultron :)

Anyway, I'd definitely recommend that you go see this movie now, as it is brilliant, and you will love it!

Have you already seen it? What were your thoughts?

Reviews incoming!

I know guys, I'm sorry! I have utterly sucked ass at getting regular content up on here, but now I'm buying less games, and getting more time to actually complete the games I've already got (since my last post, about completing my first ever game to 100%, I have now completed all of the story of Fable Anniversary and am just doing the last couple of achievements!), I will have lots of new stuff to post on here, and lots more time to do so :)

So here is a quick run down of what is getting reviewed/unboxed, and when you can expect to see it (and of course, there will be other random posts in between them)!

Completion.

Today I completed a game, for the first time. Ever.

I don't mean just finish the story, as I've done that plenty of times, but this time I fully completed the game. All collectibles, everything. 100% completion.

It was only for The Lego Movie Video Game, not a massive open world RPG or anything, but it's a start.

This is an after-effect of my new ways of collecting. I'm actually getting to enjoy the games I'm receiving, and I'm actually getting to play them - instead of just putting them straight on the shelf.

Since the start of 2014, I have bought less than five new games (by this I mean new releases, I'm not counting the cheap pick-ups I got in Tesco at the start of the year).

- Tomb Raider Definitive Edition.
- Fable Anniversary.
- The Lego Movie.
 - South Park: The Stick of Truth.

These are possibly the only 2014 releases I've actually bothered to get so far. Whereas normally, I'd have bought every new release there was, and shelved them all.

I didn't play any of Tomb Raider once it arrived, as I'd not long completed the Xbox 360 copy I own, so didn't feel up to diving back into the story right away. Once Fable Anniversary arrived, I played it constantly. From the second I got up in the morning, till the second Allan arrived home from work (can't rule over the consoles 24/7 now, can I?), any spare moment I got, I'd be playing. Unfortunately, with the arrival of The Lego Movie game, I switched over to that, and Fable Anniversary was left behind (don't worry, I'm going back to that now!)

It feels good to actually play my games again, instead of just opening up the package once they're delivered, and filing them away, never to be thought of again.

Of course, even before I slowed down on collecting, I would still play my games, but many of them would never even see themselves reach 50% completion, let alone 100%. Prior to today, I'd never gotten 100% on any game (achievements/trophies-wise, I mean), bar episode 1 of The Walking Dead, which later removed itself from my 100% completion list upon me downloading episode 2 (argh!).

I'd receive a game, and depending on the game, I'd either put it away on a shelf, or I'd open it and play. So my usual routine would end up something like this:

- Receive game.
- Open it and begin playing.
- Soon after, receive another game.
- Place on shelf.
- Receive another game.
- Stop playing first game, add to shelf, and start this game.
- Receive another game.
- Stop playing previous game, add to shelf, and start this game.

And so on.

So most games would be getting played for a short period of time, sometimes it would be enough to complete the basic story (Tomb Raider, I'm looking at you) and sometimes, it would barely be enough time to just design my character and get out of the beginning level (*cough* Skyrim *cough*).

Now that the collecting habits here in the Asylum have drastically slowed down, due partly to choice, and partly to lack of finances *sobs*, I'm getting a chance to work through my massive backlog of games. Both unplayed and unfinished.

I'd have loved to review Titanfall for you all, since that's the next big release due out, but sadly my lack of funds means that it won't be entering the Asylum for a while now, but I'll definitely review it as soon as I can afford to (and daaayyyum, that Collector's Edition is awesome, but I definitely cannot afford that right now).

Anyway, stay tuned for my double-review, of both The Lego Movie, and it's video game counterpart!

Anything you want to know specifically about the movie and/or game? Anything you'd like to suggest for future reviews and/or unboxings?
Let me know in the comments below!

Boo :(

So I planned on getting a quick overview video of the collection room up for you all yesterday, but I've come down with a bug (caught from my son) so have been curled up in bed for most of yesterday and today.

Not actually been sick or anything, luckily, but have been super hot, followed by freezing cold within a matter of minutes, with the most agonizing sore head and shakiness ever.

Starting to feel a bit better, thankfully, but my throat is still very rough and I keep coughing, so the video will still have to wait unfortunately.

I am however, going to do a review of both The Lego Movie, and it's video game counterpart later tonight, so if you have yet to see the movie, and don't want spoilers, I suggest you don't read the post (the game follows the exact same storyline as the movie, sorry!)

I have also been doing a lot of work on my collection spreadsheet, so that should be available for viewing pretty soon :)

Got South Park: The Stick of Truth on the way, so an unboxing of that may be in order on Friday!

Are you waiting on any games/movies right now? If so, which ones?

Once again...

I'm baaaaack!

As per usual, super sorry for my extended period of absence. But I am back, and I'm back for good!

Over the next few days I shall be doing regular blog updates, with new collection pics, some reviews and maybe an unboxing or two! Haven't bought/received many editions since 2014 started, however I do have loads of things in the collection that I haven't gotten round to showing off to you all yet, so I promise to show you some awesome stuff :)

I have started up a bloglovin' account, so if you have one too, feel free to follow me through it :)

Okay, anyway, I shall get to work with my collection spreadsheet, which I will also post on here, so you can all see what is currently in the Asylum, and it will give you all ideas of what unboxings and reviews will be coming up in the future! And also, you can suggest things from the spreadsheet if you'd rather see those unboxed/reviewed sooner :)

Anything you want to see unboxed or reviewed soon (before you get access to my spreadsheet), let me know in the comments below!

Well, not so much inbound anymore, as it is already here!

If you have me on Facebook, you'll already know that I had a "Care Package" on the way from Insert Coin Clothing a few days ago, with some items for me to review and put up on here.

Well, here is a list of what I received in it:

- Fisher Shirt (Inspired by Splinter Cell: Blacklist).

- Power Up Leggings (Inspired by Pac-Man).

- CEC/Ishimura Kids Tee (Inspired by Dead Space).

- Ryu Dressing Gown (Inspired by Street Fighter).

and another T-Shirt for AJ (however I can't find this one on the website!)

I will upload all of the real life pics, as well as an unboxing video onto this post later on tonight, followed by a Review post!

Have you ever bought anything from Insert Coin? What did you choose?

2014, the year of calmer collecting.

So 2014 is well underway.

Almost a month into the year so far, and thankfully, the preorder rate from the latter half of 2013 has dropped.

Steelbook preorders are still as high as ever, which is unfortunate, as retailers *cough* Zavvi *cough* are still pumping them out in quick succession, sadly forcing many Steelbook collectors, myself included, to take a long, hard look at our collecting habits.

I gave up on my quest for all Steelbooks late last year, after Zavvi pushed so many out at once, on multiple dates each month. Now I just stick to the titles that I absolutely "must have", and then go back for other ones later if I feel that I want them enough.

More and more collectors are adopting this attitude (from the ones who were previously all or nothing, like myself) since it is ridiculous how many Steelbooks that retailers expect that we can cope with per month - we are their main demographic after all, what with Steelbooks being labelled as collectors items (ironically, this is becoming less and less true, since they are completely flooding the market right now).

3 weeks into the new year, and I am happy to say that all we have received by way of Steelbooks and Editions has been:

- Wreck it Ralph Steelbook.
- Toy Story Steelbook.

I believe that is all that has arrived into the Asylum so far, other than the cheap Tesco pick-ups that I got a week or two ago (but none of those were editions or Steelbooks).

We do have other things on order of course, and have preorders taking us all the way to May at this point, I think, however as with last year's preorder list, we are being far more... careful, about what we choose to buy now.

Too many times we've bought things just for the sake of having them, and too many times these things have been the ones that have dropped in price, drastically, not too long after.

Aliens Colonial Marines, anyone?

So with our collection room nearing completion (photos to follow later on tonight!), and a whole new sense of contentment with the collection, and how it will continue to grow throughout 2014 and onwards, it's time to really appreciate the items we do already have, instead of panic about how to get the next ones due out.

I will be doing more frequent unboxing videos, and reviews throughout this year, since we now have a room dedicated to the collection, meaning we now have the perfect location to film these videos, as well as a room to get peace and quiet to unbox/review, away from the noisy livingroom!

So feel free to post ideas on what things you'd like to see unboxed in the comments (not necessarily on this post, as the collection room post that I'll be posting tonight might help to remind you of what there is in the Asylum), and what items/movies/games you'd like to be reviewed :)

So are you having a calmer year of collecting this year? Or are you already panicking about the next wave of Steelbooks from Zavvi, etc?

Entries to the Asylum - 11th January 2014.

Tonight is a nice quiet night in the Asylum. Allan is out for his work's night out at a Buffet place, and AJ is staying with his Granny and Granda, so I've got the house to myself.

Slobbing out on the couch and in bed, watching TV, playing games, and eating food.

This is the life.

Today was also a good day for shopping! Tesco currently have a massive sale on, and for some reason, their stock is scanning at (usually) a quarter of the marked sale price. This only affects sale DVDs, Blurays and games, as far as I know.

My local Tesco (and the next nearest one after that) was totally wiped out of any games, so unfortunately no bargains were to be had there, however I did nab quite a few other good things!

- True Blood Season 2 DVD.
- True Blood Season 3 DVD.
- True Blood Season 4 DVD.

(Why you no stock Season 1, Tesco!? HUH!?)

- The Vampire Diaries Season 3 DVD.
- Stranded Bluray (w/ Slipcover).
- What Doesn't Kill You Bluray (w/ Slipcover).

And for other random pickups also from Tesco (and one or two from Asda, too - although their sale was bollocks in comparison) I got:

- 2x Marvel Comic Print Passport Covers (one for me, one for Allan).
- Various toys to put away for next Christmas for AJ and Ellie.
- Moshi Monsters Advent Calendar (one that you get toys in, rather than chocs) for next Christmas.
- Skylanders notebook.
- 3x Skylanders keyrings.
- Pack of Skylanders magnets.
- Skylanders mug.
- Couple of other bits to put away for Christmas, too.

Of course, I spent a fair chunk more than I'd planned on today's weekly shop, but for those bargains (all of the above cost me less than £40 (and there were quite a few pretty good toys in there!)

I will definitely have to try and make up the cost of this little splurge somewhere, as I didn't really want to be dipping into my savings/spending money pot again, so soon after my last splurge (Black Milk Museum Sale - whoop whoop!), so I will definitely be doing my best to cut costs over the next week or so to make up for it :)

Really gutted to have missed out on getting some games for cheap though, as I've been looking for some new games to try out lately, especially on my 3DS, so was hoping to nab Pokemon Black + White 2 (since I somehow STILL don't own those) since I heard they were going really cheap in the sales.

Ah well. Still happy with my purchases :)

Did any of you manage to get anything worthwhile in the Tesco sales? Or anywhere else for that matter?

PS: Since I've got lotttttsss of spare time tonight, what with being home alone and all, I shall take those collection room pics I've been promising, and maybe even a quick overview video if I can be bothered :P

So what exciting things have you got recently?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
Can't believe it's 2014 already, although I will still be saying 2013 for another month or two, no doubt :)

I know I've barely been around of late, due to a lack of money, therefore a lack of new editions, etc. but I am back now, and I will have a lovely big post-Christmas update for you in the next few days!

I also have another bit of good news, we now have a GAMES ROOM!
Well, not so much *have* since it's still a work in progress, but it's certainly getting there :)

Still have another two shelves to get put upstairs, and we still need to buy one or two more, but it's definitely looking more and more like a proper games room :)

I'll post a pic later tonight of the way it is now (in it's messy, work in progress state), so that you'll see the difference once everything is complete :D

I got lots of lovely new things for Christmas, including CEs, steelbooks, clothing, etc. which I will reveal as soon as I can get them all photographed :)

So what did you all get?
