Today in the Asylum we received the absolutely gorgeous:
- Fez Limited Edition.
It is smaller than I expected, although the dimensions were stated on the listing, I just didn't take the time to actually think about it!, but it is absolutely beautiful. It has a very luxurious appearance, and despite being "just a blank book" as I've seen many people describe it, it truly is stunning.
I will be getting photos and a review of this up at some point tomorrow - I would've done it today but the lighting in here is awful so I'd rather wait for some natural light - and let you all see it and see what we think about it :)
Priced at £68. plus shipping, it has sadly now sold out, as it was limited to just 500 copies, but the link to check it out is here, just in case you can't wait for my review!
In non-typical-Asylum-entries, I also received some new eyeliner, which I am super excited about. I've sort of lost my affinity with makeup over the past few years, or rather, subdued it haha, as I still loved makeup, but due to prioritising my "spending money" (as opposed to bills money, etc) to editions, my makeup collection quickly dwindled as various products ran out.
I've always been big on my eyeliner, even since high school. And my absolute favourite was Ligne Graphique De Chanel in Noir, and that was the only thing I'd use throughout my mid-to-late teens (despite the cost!), however when my last one ran out a few years back and I went to buy more, I couldn't find it anywhere, leading me to believe it had been discontinued. I have recently just discovered that it is in fact still in production (it just must be that the John Lewis in town stopped stocking it), so will definitely have to buy it again soon, especially as I have found nothing that compares to it since. I even kept the little bottle it was in as I liked the brush so much, but even using it with other eyeliners just wasn't the same. You can find it here, if you want to check it out :)
But the eyeliner I received in the mail today is one I've really wanted to try out, Lightning Liner in Jett, by Kat von D (which can be found here, sadly only seems to ship from the US). I'm not normally a fan of "pen-style" eyeliners, but this one has more of a brush tip than some of the ones I've used in the past. It still doesn't stand up to the Chanel one, but it will do for now (spending close to £50 on eyeliner in one month, on two eyeliners, just isn't something I'm willing to do!).
So have you all received anything in the mail today?
Let me know in the comments below!
