Update

Over the past few months, we ended up with a lot of games and movies to review, as well as me being commissioned to write an article for another website. I’ve still been working full-time throughout the full pandemic as I am classed as a key worker, and it caused a lot of things to get put on the back burner or forgotten about. I also made the decision to move my site over from Blogger to Squarespace, which further complicated things a bit as I then had the monumental task of transferring everything over bit by bit to the new site.

Yes, I know, these are total first world problems - having too many things to review at once, whilst still having my job when the rest of the world is falling apart. But it caused a huge backlog of stuff to pile up and I admit, it all got too much for me. I tried to prioritise the order of things needing done: some releases are bigger so take longer to play through; some had deadlines, others didn’t; some were installed and then admittedly forgotten about due to the sheer volume outstanding.

I also haven’t make it easy on myself - I continue to send out review requests, as you’re not always guaranteed a response. I wouldn’t hear anything back from any requests for a while, but then all of a sudden I’d have 15+ get back to me in the space of a few days and the chunk I’d cleared from the backlog was now back at the same level again.

So if you’re still waiting on a review from me - don’t worry - they’re all in the process of being done. There’s actually a bunch waiting to go live now, but I was hesitant about posting a bundle on the same day. My writing process suffered due to the number of reviews I have been doing at once, taking time to play and take notes on a bunch of different games before going back to write the reviews, instead of focusing on one game at a time. So, I’m rolling it back and making sure to get them all out as soon as I can. There’s not much left to be done with many of them, as most are in varying stages of being written as well as ones just needing me to include images or footage, or proof-read and format. I’ll get a bundle posted over the next day or two, and hopefully should be able to get the ones that need a little bit more work posted shortly after. I’ll be sure to post on our social media pages to let you all know when things go live, as this is also something I’ve neglected to do a lot (and that doesn’t help drive traffic to the site!)

There are also posts still waiting to be moved over from the old site - but the majority of these are older reviews from like 2016, as well as various unboxings, but this is last on the list of things to be done.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past while, as well as a huge thanks to everyone who has provided review codes/review copies to keep our content going. Once everything is back on track, reviews will be done in a more timely manner, but please have patience over the next week or so whilst I get the remaining ones finished.
